POST 4 - The Role of Technology in my Profession and Life

Hi everyone!

Today I am going to talk about the role that technology has in ceramics, it is a somewhat difficult topic to talk about, since just with your hands, clay, a table and an rustic kiln how can be made with wood, with time and care of that the braise does not extinguish can reach a temperature of 1000ºc, but today they are not used much because it’s a very dangerous, because of the rustic shape they are manufactured. Today, are used principally electric kiln, since they are easy to install and use. Ideally, the kiln has to be formed by a set of resistors inside an insulating chamber that is made of either fiber coated with light refractory bricks, or combinations of both. since the temperatures are so high that the entire installation has to be very safe.

The kiln is finally the most important tool for make to ceramics, because, it would not be possible to "cook" the pieces without the kilns. Every piece has its particularity, depending on what type of ceramic's clay in used; because it is occupied certain temperature for each case, for example, a ceramic gress to be "vizcochada" (it is the term that is used for the first cooking of the piece) has to be at a temperature of 1050º C and for its cooking with the enamels is at 1350º C, it is a bit complicated, but over time it is understood, since the vizcochado is used equally in all the pieces and the second firing is with enamels that cover the ceramic piece and that is the one that varies from degrees ºc. Another example that I would like to give is from Raku Ceramics, it is my favorite way to make ceramics, in its second cooking a temperature of 1100ºc is used and the piece is taken out at its maximum temperature and it is given a cold blow with water and sawdust, the pieces are beautiful. and thanks to the use of the electric oven many types of ceramics can be achieved, it is worth learning about ceramics and its tools, both manual and technological, it is already a perfect mix between tradition and technology

POST 3 - Academic Challenges in 2020

Hello everyone

Today I'm going to talk about my academic challenges for this year 2020
This year is very important to me because I leave my university. I am very happy and scared, they were very important years for me, I learned a lot about the life and art, love, children and very much more ... were such great years for me, I lived the penguin revolution and all the student revolutions, from 2006 until now, that I finished my college year with the great revolutions the 2019 year... and in this year I will have no more strike or college occupation, it's so important to me, because that's how I was educated.

Finally, as this year I completed a diploma in Art management and finished my bachelor in visual arts, I will try now to make cultural projects for society, I hope that they can be free and that children and adults can participate, I also hope to be able to do assemblies in my community, since I have a beautiful working group in which we are dedicated to creating these community organizations, we are a working group composed of Eva, Eliana, Andrés and Lucia who in particular at 76 years old, is also dedicated to movements by water freedom and against TTP -11, she's great, I hope to grow old like her. In 2020 I believe that all my knowledge will be used to help many people when they need it, because I will be an excellent opportunity to improve my country with my knowledge and experience. Besides, I feel how important this year is, which comes with a new constitution and a new way of feeling human dignity.

POST 2 - The best concert/holiday ever...

Hi everyone

Today I will talk about my best vacations in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I made that trip with my mother; I was 17 years old and in August for my 18th birthday we went on vacation to Buenos Aires. We stayed in the most beautiful hostel in San Telmo, its name is Art Factory and it was a very nice place, it had wall painting on all the walls of the hostel, in the rooms, the hallway, the living room, the kitchen and all places, I hope to return to that hostel.

We went to see the surroundings of the hostel and then went to dinner and see a play on the famous Corrientes street in Buenos Aires.
the other days were great too, recording everything, the obelisk, caminito street, the tiger and an antique fair where I bought the most beautiful bag in the world (years later some burglars stole it from me, it was very sad that lost u.u)

One of the best things we went through in Buenos Aires was the number of plays we saw, as well as the LE LUTHIERS! the originals, all old, but fantastic, I loved it!!!
Finally, the day before we left we went to a concert, one of my favorite blues bands, it's called La Mississippi blues band, it was wonderful to see them playing all the songs I like and also Hit the road Jack (by Ray Charles) as cover, it was amazing! it really was a great trip to celebrate my 18 years. I think I will never forget it.

Hi everyone
Today I’m going to talk about a travel I’d like to realize,
My dream is travel around Chile, starting by Arica until Magallanes.
I’d like to achieve this trip because I think Chile has the most beautiful landscapes of Latin America, also is the country where I did born.
I'd like to travel by Atacama Desert and Austral highway and camping into the native woods in places like Conguillio, in Temuco.
I'd like to be traveling for a year forget to know better all the differences between north and south.
